Our Beginning
FORT ROLLER Skating Club was born in Fort Portal in 2012, when five passionate skaters decided that western Uganda deserved a world-class skating community. Starting with nothing but rented skates and a concrete car park, they began teaching anyone willing to learn.
Word spread fast. The energy was contagious. Within a year, dozens of young Ugandans were showing up every weekend. The original five founders started investing in proper equipment, hiring certified coaches, and establishing structured programs.
Today, FORT ROLLER is home to over 500 active members spanning all skill levels - from toddlers taking their first wobbly steps on skates, to national champions representing Uganda on the continental stage. We are the heartbeat of Uganda's skating scene.
